ABOUT THE ART
We communicate through art to fight the elements of time. When words fail and the days churn relentless, we turn to the studio. We find each other in the scratching of charcoal on paper, in the click of a shutter. We find each other in our process. Within our shared space, art becomes a language of defiance, a rebellion against the inevitable passing of time.
Mad at Time is a series of drawings that render a single figure as it extends into many. The frantic energy of a moment, the chaos of a conflicted mind. Through overlaps, intersections, and divisions, these figures create moments of tension, connection, and isolation. In these shifted states of being, we explore the disorder of the human psyche and the body as a vessel for emotion.
Their anonymity invites projection. What you see depends on where you stand. A composition of joy may reveal itself, while the same figures, viewed from another lens, read as anger or despair. These drawings are not prescriptive; they remain open-ended, inviting your own experience to emerge.
The energy of the draughtsmanship overpowers the desire for realism. The construction lines are markers, memories, and traces of thought left on paper. They stand as a visual timeline of creation itself.
